This is something to take to a clinician. The Atlas can tell you what is known about placebo & regression to the mean in men's health in general. It cannot tell you what is happening in your body, and the difference matters most for exactly the symptoms that bring people to this page.
Two statistical and psychological forces make almost every men's-health intervention seem to work, which is why testimonials are so misleading. First, the placebo effect: men who expect more energy and libido often report exactly that, and expectation alone can shift mood, perceived energy, and even erectile confidence. Second, regression to the mean: men typically buy a product or start TRT when feeling at their worst (a low point), and they would have partly improved anyway, so the natural rebound gets credited to the intervention. Together these guarantee glowing reviews for products with no real effect. This is the core reason the library weights randomized, placebo-controlled evidence over anecdote, and why the supplement category's testimonials cannot be trusted.
Two forces make every testosterone product seem to work: belief and bad timing.

What people get wrong
Often saidThe reviews are glowing, so it must work
ActuallyPlacebo plus regression to the mean make almost any product seem to work; only placebo-controlled trials separate real effects from belief and timing.
