What can go wrong
Saffron is generally safe at supplement doses; high doses can cause GI effects. It does not raise testosterone.
This is something to take to a clinician. The Atlas can tell you what is known about affron (saffron) in general. It cannot tell you what is happening in your body, and the difference matters most for exactly the symptoms that bring people to this page.
Affron is a Pharmactive-branded saffron (Crocus sativus) extract standardized for Lepticrosalides, with human trials for mood and some sexual-function endpoints. It is included in some men's formulas, but it is best understood as a mood/libido ingredient rather than a testosterone booster, saffron's evidence is for affect and sexual satisfaction, not serum testosterone.
A mood/libido extract, not a testosterone booster.
What people take it for
These are the reasons people give for taking it. They are not effects it has been shown to have.
What people get wrong
Often saidSaffron boosts testosterone
