What can go wrong

The case demonstrates the core deception risk of the natural-optimization space: a physique attributed to 'natural' methods (and used to sell supplements) was in fact built on undisclosed PEDs. Followers filed a $25M fraud suit.

This is something to take to a clinician. The Atlas can tell you what is known about liver king, the cautionary tale in general. It cannot tell you what is happening in your body, and the difference matters most for exactly the symptoms that bring people to this page.

Brian Johnson, the 'Liver King,' built a huge following preaching that his extreme physique came from 'ancestral' living and raw-organ eating, naturally. He repeatedly and categorically denied PED use. In late 2022, YouTuber Derek (More Plates More Dates) published leaked emails detailing a regimen costing roughly $11,000+/month, testosterone cypionate, Deca-Durabolin, Winstrol, plus pharmaceutical HGH and peptides. Johnson admitted it in an apology video. He is the category's defining cautionary tale: the 'natural hormones from organ meat' salesman (co-owner of Heart & Soil with Paul Saladino) was secretly on an anabolic-steroid stack.

Preached 'natural' while secretly spending ~$11k/month on steroids and HGH.
