What can go wrong
Bovine testicle supplements deliver a negligible testosterone dose; no RCT shows orchic extract raises testosterone. Saladino himself reported a DROP in testosterone on strict carnivore, contradicting the narrative, before adding carbohydrates.
This is something to take to a clinician. The Atlas can tell you what is known about paul saladino & 'animal-based' testosterone in general. It cannot tell you what is happening in your body, and the difference matters most for exactly the symptoms that bring people to this page.
Paul Saladino ('Carnivore MD') promotes an animal-based diet and argues that dietary cholesterol and animal fat are 'crucial for hormonal health.' He co-founded Heart & Soil, an organ-meat supplement company (notably co-owned with Brian Johnson, the 'Liver King'), whose 'Whole Package' product markets testicle extract for testosterone. The pharmacology is negligible: bovine testicle contains only trace testosterone, and oral hormone is largely destroyed by digestion and first-pass metabolism.
'Eat testicle, get testosterone', a claim with negligible pharmacology.
