What can go wrong

GNC entered a 2016 DOJ non-prosecution agreement (~$2.25M) over selling a DMAA-containing product (OxyElite Pro) and an Oregon AG suit over picamilon/BMPEA-adulterated products. As a retailer it both sells and (via house brands) profits from the category it shelves.

This is something to take to a clinician. The Atlas can tell you what is known about gnc mega men & the gnc testosterone aisle in general. It cannot tell you what is happening in your body, and the difference matters most for exactly the symptoms that bring people to this page.

GNC is the dominant US specialty supplement retailer and the primary physical shelf for testosterone boosters (Nugenix, Force Factor, Six Star, its own AMP/Mega Men lines). After a 2020 Chapter 11 bankruptcy, GNC was acquired by China's Harbin Pharmaceutical Group (~$770M). Its house Mega Men multivitamin is a timed-release men's multi; GNC AMP Test 1700 is its testosterone aisle's house option (Testofen 600 mg, KSM-66, tribulus, DIM).

The retail gatekeeper, and a brand with its own regulatory history.

What people take it for

What people get wrong

  • Often saidIf GNC sells it, it must be vetted
