Not medical advice. The Atlas is not a substitute for a clinician who can examine you.

Ro (Roman)

Broad Telehealth Platform (Generic Sildenafil/Tadalafil)

Evidence grade 4 of 5, Strong. Read how the Atlas grades evidence.

The written rationale for this grade is still being prepared.

FDA
Markets FDA-approved generic PDE5 inhibitors; broader telehealth services

Reference only. Not medical advice.

What can go wrong

PDE5 inhibitors are contraindicated with nitrates and require cardiovascular consideration. Where Ro offers or expands into testosterone-related services, the standard TRT monitoring and fertility caveats apply.

This is something to take to a clinician. The Atlas can tell you what is known about ro (roman) in general. It cannot tell you what is happening in your body, and the difference matters most for exactly the symptoms that bring people to this page.

Ro, originally launched as Roman, is a broad direct-to-consumer telehealth platform whose men's-health revenue centers on erectile-dysfunction medications, primarily generic sildenafil and tadalafil. It has since expanded across multiple categories. Ro is among the largest named players in the online men's-health and TRT-adjacent marketplace.

Roman rebranded as Ro; ED medication is the core revenue engine.

What people take it for

What it is taken for. Approval, where it exists, covers only some of these.

  • Generic PDE5 inhibitors for ED
  • Broader telehealth and pharmacy services

How it works

Ro connects consumers to clinicians for prescriptions (notably generic PDE5 inhibitors), fulfilled through pharmacy partners, on a subscription/refill basis.

Safety in detail

ED and any hormone therapies require clinician evaluation. PDE5 inhibitors carry an absolute nitrate contraindication.

What it does to fertility

Not directly applicable to PDE5 inhibitors; applies to any testosterone offerings.

What has to be monitored

The bloodwork this needs, and the reason it belongs with a clinician rather than a website.

  • Cardiovascular review for PDE5 use
  • Standard TRT monitoring if applicable

What people get wrong

Nothing recorded here yet. There is almost certainly something people get wrong about this one, and the blank space means we have not written it down, not that the record is clean.

Who profits, and who pushes back

Nobody is named here yet, because we have not done that work on this entry. Read that as unfinished. Somebody almost certainly sells this, and somebody almost certainly disputes it. Assume both until we have checked.

What this entry does not yet cover

What follows is unfinished work on our side, not a finding about Ro (Roman). A short entry is not a safe entry.

  • Timeline. We have not built the dated record of research and regulatory events.
  • Cost and market. We have not documented what it sells for or who sells it.
  • Supply chain. We have not mapped where it is made.
  • Who uses it. We have not documented the user groups.
  • What could change. No forward-looking summary yet.
  • How it compares. We have not set it against the alternatives.
  • Children and teenagers. We have not checked what is known about younger people.
  • Where we land. We have not taken a position on this yet.
